from uno to seis...

uno.

I have talked about Ryan living in Utah and it has been about 3-4 weeks now. I don't cry as much, seriously that is an accomplishment. (queue the violins -- am i right?)

I finally was reunited with the cute hubby of mine during conference weekend, and here are the pictures to prove it (we were also with Ryan's dad his family!:)

(the birthday girl, oh brek)
(Girls at Sams, and many other places, while the boys went to Priesthood)
(Quentin L. Cook totally looks like Ryan's stepdad Kent)
(Love Glenners and Hails!)
(My whole world :))

dos.

It was my madre's bday. She seriously is amazing at what she does. She is 50 and living it up! I admire her courage and always looking to have an adventure. She definitely is the life of the party and looks good while doing it! :) Her friend called me and asked if I could help her decorate my mother's house. I thought it would be an awesome idea since I was jealous of my mom being in Denver with her cutie boyfriend at the Bronco game. We did a theme of "50" with items around her house. Did the best we could with what we had! Turned out cute...

(I put the reasons all over the house)

(My mom and Waldo before the Lotoja--Happy Birthday!)

tres.

Remember when I went to the fair with some pretty sweet peeps?
(these things were crazy weird-fun but 10 minutes is long enough)

quatro.

Girls weekend is a blast. These lovely ladies are kind enough to invite me each year! It is family thing but hey why not invite a couple more? We usually go out, have crazy adventures, and do a craft of course. Always ends up being Halloween/Christmas themed but hey who doesn't love the holidays. This year we went to Bear Lake, didn't know how gorgeous it was this time of year. These woman are some of my greatest examples! They are so kind, generous, and loving. Love you guys! Thanks for all you do.

(Jessica...and her many...adventures...haha there was more)

cinco.

Baby Ivy Mae Leavitt was born! Ryan's sister Karly and her hubby Wade had a baby. She is so cute and cuddly! You can read all about that cute lil' peanut here: Ivy Mae

Just some more random photos from the past couple weeks...

cha cha cha change...

my last post was way too long away. for real. I have just been so busy, busy, but in a good way.

Remember when I said "something big is coming" well it is.

My adorable husband, Ryan Gary Bennion, got a new job in Sandy, Utah.

He works for a company called Telarus, he is loving every minute of it. He is on their marketing team, and is having a blast. I am really proud of him. It takes a lot to just get up and move, you know, that whole
leap of faith thing.
It isn't easy, but it is what works best for our little family right now.

SIDE NOTE: Prayer is probably one of the best things at a time like this; for guidance, comfort, keeping an open mind, and realizing what your priorities really are, and so much more. It also helped Ryan and I understand that asking for help is okay. Sometimes making your own decisions without that extra encouragement, or boost, whatever you want to call it, can be very difficult. Isn't it the best feeling though when you get that confirmation/prompting that you are doing something right? We think so.

I definitely had my share of tears though, why you ask? haha well...

1. Ryan is in Utah now staying at his dad's house in West Jordan. I am home alone and have been for 2 weeks now. Not fun. :( However, I have a lot more respect for those people who are single parents or in that same position. It is harder than I thought it would be. I would randomly cry at work, home, the bathroom, haha where ever. I didn't want him to go.

2. There are so many places to live in Utah, it's insane. Really though.

3. It will be hard moving away. I have a lot of family that is close here and good friends who I can count on. BUT I do have that same thing in Utah, haha but it will just be different. I have been an Idaho potato my whole life haha, I don't know if I can adapt to being a Utard
(i mean that word -- the utard one -- with the most respect, I mean I am going to be one so...its a given)

4. I am way nervous about making friends? WHOA WHOA what was that? Ya, I said it. I have this thought process in my mind that tells me how competitive it is in Utah for woman and they have to do and be this to be something great. It stresses me out, weird I know, I can't help it. I am competitive but really hard on myself. Also, it is hard already being only 45 minutes away from friends now, how can I do it there? haha. Sounds silly, but I think everyone will forget about us haha. BUT I KNOW it isn't true, I have been thinking this lately after Ryan left and me being home alone. I think that is why I am so nervous to find friends in Utah too, it just all jumbles together I guess.

5. I really REALLY want Blaire to know who she is as she is growing up in Utah. I want her to be confident and keep that bubbly personality of hers. I am a mother and guess I worry about these things more than I thought I would.

6. (This doesn't make me cry but I thought I would add it to the list of my life haha) I am working for Ryan's stepdad right now. He is a lawyer for family law, and a pretty darn good one. His legal assistant left on maternity leave and I am helping him out for 6 weeks. I only have 2 more, but it is going by way fast because of how busy I am. I didn't realize what legal assistants do until now. And I don't think deciding how many copies of legal documents to send to court, clients, etc. would be so hard, haha I still can't keep it straight. It has been a great learning experience so far. Except I am never home anymore which is kind of hard, I MISS MY BABY! :) I got use to being a stay at home mom, and liked it. My grandma is kind enough to watch the babe which helps me out a lot! Other family members help when they can which is awesome! Makes it that much harder to leave to Utah.

There are obviously a bunch more things going through my mind about going to Utah, mainly because I am a woman and have a major TO DO list that falls to my feet, but it will all work out.

As of now, it is just me and little b.

Excited for our new adventure :)

just another day...right?

Change is something that can scare you and hold you back.

Change is also something to help you grow and become someone you never thought possible.

Ryan and I are heading the that "never thought possible direction" which is actually scary haha. I can't talk about it now but I will in the upcoming weeks.

ONE thing I can talk about however.

For the next three days
I am selling my two of my prints on
{It is a site that allows vendors to sell their items, similar to

They liked what I created and wanted me to be available to sell both.
{What their liking was:
"Always Look on the Bright Side"
and "Whats In A Name"}

 Makes me nervous haha and scares me. However, I have experienced a change. Actually doing what I love, other people love. I don't know if it is more of a shock? Or a, "wow, haha I am talented in a different way compared to other people".

In my opinion, people today are all shooting for the same thing
"to be different". Some either:

1. Try too hard to be liked
2. Try too hard to be like someone else
3. Don't try enough

or...

4. Try it just right. It only works if you trust yourself, take positive criticism well. And not care what anyone else thinks or says that's negative.

As I mentioned in my last post, it is hard putting your self out there and becoming

VULNERABLE
to the rest of the world.

BUT it doesn't hurt to just try.
I did. And it's been great.
Successful as Martha Stewart or not, at least I know I tried.

Everyone involved with creating anything should try and take an opportunity such as this.

I have had to remember these 3 things

1. Don't worry too much.
2. Have faith in yourself, and take pride in what you do.
3. Whats the worse they can say....no?

Even if you don't appeal to my design taste, these sites are fun to search and are really steal of a deals. They have items that fit to a range of styles.

I will tell more about this experience next week so...stay tuned.

if you want?

Much love,

JPB

wait i won?...

This post is dedicated to the beautiful

and talented

They are actually both very cute ADORABLE and very talented at what they do.

{Jody: Fashion blogger and freaking amazing at it check out her stuff-she has her own business as well...look look ^^^^!}
{Kate: She owns her own business making wire wraps, kid shoes, bows, etc.
Check her out too, K?^^^^}

How did I meet these ladies? Well this is how it went...

1. I was on instagram and found a giveaway. Never have I ever done one from instagram before. Saw one someone reposted from Jody. She was giving away a cute headband IVORY KATE {which is Kate's business, and actually named a headband after Jody that's why she was doing a giveaway from her blog--that info is all RIGHT HERE.

2. Did all the steps and what not and waited. I CHECKED when the winner would be posted and it was ME! WHAT THE... NEVER won anything before this way. SO EXCITED.

{winner winner chicken dinner}

3. All I had to do was wait for it in the mail. Giveaways are great. haha and it CAME! :) Isn't it lovely? :)

{hooray!}
{gotta do the side view}
{oh snap blue steel}
{oh my love it haha}

{seriously wheres karly when i need her.
not a pro at taking pics and my hair is having issues}

{oh well the beatles like it}

{guess  im just lucky haha}
4. I guess I never physically met Jody, but I do admire her talent and motivation to do what she loves. We need more women like that! :) And I have to give her credit for introducing me to those headbands from Ivory Kate. Ever since then I am a fan.

5. Kate has family from Idaho Falls and is actually from here, I think? haha Anyways, she was visiting family and brought all those goodies from her shop with her. Of course I had to get some! And then of course friends needed some too so I got to buy lots haha.
And come to find out she knew one of my friends. Dang. Small world.
Should have gotten a picture with her because...

6. Oh I happened to leave my wallet where she was at. Seriously, so it took her awhile to get a hold of me since she didn't have my number. Had to meet Kate at Winco haha and get the wallet. Typical me.
{SIDE NOTE: How nice of her to track me down right? :)}

It is kind of crazy how you meet new people and learn about their life and what they do in a random way. I have never been the "follow a blog, meet them" type of person. SHOCKER-- it kind of makes me nervous to do stuff like that. However, if you know me all to well I am fine in person meeting people for the first time. Maybe I am just more intimidated by these wonderful ladies.

I guess you could say I stepped out of my shell.

1 point Jordan
1,000,000 points world.

It was worth it though. :)

Thanks for the inspiration to do what I love Jody and Kate! You are great examples for many women in this world. Keep up the good work! :)

I best be meeting more people like you.

Much love,

JPB.
